He appears to have wide variety or stuff and reasonable prices. I got a few items but three of the suits were wrong. He was probable out of them but instead of telling me or retrning my money he sent me replacements and even my masi won’t wear them!

That sounds EXACTLY like her. She had a sale a few weeks ago and I was 18 or so weeks pregnant. I am not an xs but I am def also not a plus size / xxxl size woman. When I asked her if she had anything in my size, she said honey this isnt a maternity store…most of her sale stuff was small to medium.

Not only was it rude but it made me feel like a whale. I left after that.

my two cents on home based designers is that you should avoid them at all costs unless they have very very very solid reviews by someone you personally know and trust. I can tell you right off the bat how 90% of these home based "designer" aunties operate.

None of these ladies have their own tailors or karigars and they rely on tailor and udaa(sometimes both are the same) of choice whenever an order is received. I am not sure how many of you have experienced liberty/main market in lahore, but those who have will know that , with the exception of a few reputed zari houses/udaaz, most of these places do not deliver what they promise or within the promised time frame( the load shedding in pakistan isn't helping this situation either). They also lack that fine finish, cut and tailoring we all want. so stuff from such places could have very fine detailed embroidery but not neccessarily the wow factor (regardless of how much you pay them).

consequently when you order from such home based designers, you don't get stuff on time (since THEY don't get the stuff on time back from the udaaz) and isn't what was promised. My suggestion is to find home based aunties who have an actual set-up ( for years i've been going to samina ahmed's sister who used to own the brand "all that jazz", but now she's stopped taking new clients and has started giving my family a hard time too) or deal directly with some zari house.

For my wedding, my mother in law had my mehndi outfit made from a zari house in liberty. I was personally very scared since my sister's bridal had been nickie nina and my own bridal was kamiar rokni (we'd never experienced a zari house before). but the end result was quite a stunner. The design was a replica of a nomi ansari (i am not certain) and I communicated with the zari house over email to give my requirements etc. The only thing lacking was the fitting of the dress as it was too tight on the bust. But given that everything was done online, i was pretty happy with the outcome. So my suggestion is to go directly to the source i-e a zari house, or a real designer (kamiar rokni, HSY, mehdi etc), or a small scall designer that has a proper set-up. For all of these, you need references and someone trust worthy to give you the right advice.

Btw my mehndi jora was made by the zari house aroosia boutique(or arooshia, I can confirm and post back). Recently a zari house called Ashee's(not sure of the spelling) made a jaw dropping valima outfit for my cousin. It was no less of a stunner than a mehdi original. MIND BLOWINGLY AWESOME.

From a high end designer perspective, Kamiar Rokni did a stunning job with my bridal and I'd recommend him. I've been going to him since i was in school so my whole family is very comfortable with him. He needs a bit of nudging every now and then, but that's kami for you.

Nickie Nina were terrible to work with and i would never in a million years recommend them. Delivered the outfit a day before the wedding and charged us more than the agreed-on price. On top of that they were super *****y. Hajra Hayat does very sub-par work too though she is nice and polite.
Mehdi is expensive but a dream to work with. He delivered my younger sister's wedding outfit on the exact date we had asked for (in the order form). He wanted enough time to make any adjustments so the delivery date was a month before the wedding. He did a fitting on the delivery date and made some minor adjustments while we were there. He is probably the most professional designer in lahore.

Extremely bad packaging…they were shoved in shopper bags when i asked for proper plastic wrapping.First time someone sent me clothes this way.

Poor fabric quality, cheap kaam, cheapest possible laces on dupattas n totally wrong sizes. I ordered 3 designs in quantity of 6 i.e 2 pcs per design. 3 for me and 3 for my sister. My sister is tall n large size. i’m medium n petite.She made her length n my chest size. Sleeves were too tight for movement n no space left for their alteration. they were not even full sleeves as per given size.Several times it was discussed that the shoulder cut should be around 8,5 inches but was still 6.5 inches. i paid 120,000 Rs. for 6 suits that were made for a wedding and wat i got was Adday ka dabka wala ganda kaam with plastic stones, tacky dupattas, ready made gala on one suit n worst possible mukesh used. i tried posting it on her wall but she has some kind of option where the posts cannot be seen by public but only her. also no pix can be uploaded on her page. I did use her comment boxes to put feed back. few ppl liked it but now she has deleted them n not replying to my mails. I originally found her from friendskorner.com where her collection has been posted in fashion korner/She has almost 23,000 likes n does her exhibitions in sialkot, khi, lhr etc thats why i trusted her. view all the pix of my received order n screen shots of conversation with her on these pages…

i hAVE SEEN HER stuff and she has loads of pictures of replicas done by her also she is very prompt and helpful when asking questions or prices. i am thinking to place an order myself n would love to hear some feed back too

my badest experience was with IQRA&ZAINAB! please avoid these so called "designers". i ordered 2 jumpsuits and 3 shirts frm her! first it took them 2-3 months to deliver my order. they promised i would get them before eid (october)

they didnt reply on whats up..but strange that they were updating every single day something on facebook! extremly unprofessional!

when i finally got my parcel after begging, asking, calling...

the dresses were stitched frm a "cheap" tailor and in wrong sizes!!

Suits were glued to the plastic packing.

big spots on the dresses...

i mailed them but never got a reply back!! extremly unprofessional and rude!!
