Re: Do NOT shop here!Caveat emptor/Buyer beware !
All this reminded me of my sister wedding, it was not an online shop from where we bought her wedding dress, it was some boutique at triq road, karachi. She choosed a lehanga for her barat, that was someone else order that they showed her. She order it with some changes three months before her marriage. She bought all her jewlry and shoes acording to the color she ordered, after a month we went there to ask the progress of the order they told us it will be ready by the end of the month (means end of 2nd month of her order and a month before her marriage). We went to collect the order in the mid of the second month and they told us that they have send it for stitching cause we dint came on the date (the size and stitching was also decided at the time we ordered the dress) they told us to come and see the dress, then they started making up stories like the person to whom we have made the order is out of city and will come back in one to two days and he will give us our dress, we went to the shop almost every other day despite being busy with the arrangements and every day they told us a new stroy like the tailor master had it for some fixing up and he went home early due to some big emergency, finally when there were only 15 days remaining we took some action and made them clear if they dint handover our dress or told the truth we will take our money back. We stayed all day at that shop waiting for the talor master to come we stayed at the shop for almost 7-8 hours and finally had a big fight after which we were able to get our money back and then without loosing a sec we went to other shops in search of lehanga of same color becuase of her jewlry, bangles were all according to that dress and we end up buying a dress expensive to what it actually was. My sister dint even liked it. She stayed in a bad mood on her marriage and just becuase of that dress she dint look good at all, cause the jewlry dint look good in combination with the dress she wore.
that was my experience even by personally going to the shop, wonder how u guys buy online without even getting a chance of seeing the dress beside u.
Its not only one shop, it happens everywhere, even here in lahore, same thing happened to my friend's lehnga we ordered from anarkali, they gave it only 2 days before the wedding, and they used all the cheap plasticky stone, on top of that we went there one days before mehndi to get some red stones add up since the duppata was red and we told them clearly where to add red stone, which according to them they totally forgot without a sorry, and then one day before the mehndi, they kept us waiting at the shop for 4 hours cause according to them they were too busy to add the stones for us. there were 4=5 ppl in the shop, all doing nothing, 3 parties came to shop and they served them but kept us waiting until it was 9 at night. its really pathetic, they don;t even care how someone maybe feeling, she was about to cry sitting with me there.
Same happened to our dresses that we gave to a kaam wala in township 3 months earlier, and each and every suit we got only 1 day before the function, even her mothers dress came 3 weeks after the wedding and her sister's dress came in the noon of the baraat, and then she had to beg a tailor to stitch for her in a few hours, the inner frock came one hour before baraat came and the upper gown came half hour after the baraat came,
ppl are so pathetic here, and expert liars!
