Nope, none at all. Live in the west and my family from both sides are bilingual - english and punjabi speakers so never needed to learn the language. Sad scenarios is that most other Pakistanis living here have parents/family who, despite living here many years, still don’t know how to speak english so its might be a requirement of many potential spouses that future wife speaks punjabi or urdu

I live in the west and although both sides of my family are also multilingual (coz lets be honest punjabi and urdu are not the same), my punjabi and urdu is fluent due to my family speaking it at home.

IMO knowing/speaking the languages is vital since it allows you to converse with a wider range of people, i.e. people in Pakistan, pakistani people in the west and of course the elders who do not have a good grasp of English.
