Do men still think like this?

“If she talks/texts/dates/sleeps with me, then she can do it with anyone (and therefore not worthy of respect).”

Is that kind of thinking still alive and kickin?

Re: Do men still think like this?

yes

Re: Do men still think like this?

Backward thinking

Re: Do men still think like this?

Well by GS standards I am medieval... however I cant help but unleash the Hawk among the pidgeons on this one and state that both the man and the woman in such relationships are acting wrongly... so in my view neither is worthy of respect. :)

Re: Do men still think like this?

What do you mean by 'still think'? 'even after the Jasmine Revolution'?

Re: Do men still think like this?

so going by that thinking a man has to see a woman as only his or else his respect for her goes down leading to him judging her negatively in every aspect of life

but i wonder how those men think that are one out of 3 husbands of a woman in some parts of the world. their thinking must be totally different since childhood.

Re: Do men still think like this?

What's the jasmine revolution?

Re: Do men still think like this?

yeah we are desi.

Re: Do men still think like this?

Yes and those guys have low self esteem, they think they are not 'special' enough for the girl to only want to sleep/text/talk with them.

Re: Do men still think like this?

That helped depose a president and increased demand for diapers in Washington. Google it :P

Many men thought like like what you mentioned and still think like this. I am just wondering why is there a 'STILL' in the question :P

Re: Do men still think like this?

lol so the prerogative is that he talks/texts/dates/sleeps with her too, then 'he' can do it with anyone too (and therefore he himself is not worthy of respect' by his own standards...

Re: Do men still think like this?

Even girls think like this as well. :)

"If he talks/texts/dates/sleeps with me, then he can do it with anyone (and therefore not worthy of respect)."

Re: Do men still think like this?

Some things can never change.

Re: Do men still think like this?

I am confused. The question is missing some information. I do understand that you are not talking about a Muslim society, but then which society are you talking about ? because even people related to other religions tell me that this isn't normal in their faith also.

Re: Do men still think like this?

Crawl out of your cave crime master, this happens in muslim society too.

Re: Do men still think like this?

Its a two way traffic.

Re: Do men still think like this?

If we can't remove a sin from our society, isn't it better to at least consider it to be a sin (which is the lowest level of Imaan) instead of making it sound like a normal act in our discussions ? Just asking, please forgive me if anyone feels bad about this comment. I myself am the dirtiest person alive today in terms of deeds, but I sincerely feel that "not thinking of a sin to be a sin" prevents ones heart from repenting and seeking Allah's forgiveness.

Re: Do men still think like this?

Wise words my friend I salute your courage :salute:

Re: Do men still think like this?

At least for the dates and sleeps part, yes. Not sure if that was ever the case with talking/texting though.

Re: Do men still think like this?

yes yes yes
