shaitaan was not an angel,he was jin **species.Allah Ta’ala gave the Shaitaan the ability to overpower the thoughts and senses of Man and also to make humans perform such actions that are to the Shaitaan’s liking. The animalistic feature, love of comforts and the vainness that is found in humans are the Shaitaan’s internal weapons and those that are found outside the body of the humans and his surroundings, such as Allah Ta’ala’s favours, comforts, enjoyments, wealth, etc, are all the Shaitaan’s external weapons. Shaitaan uses these two weapons with great planning and system to mislead Man, while Man does not perceive it. Nabi (S.A.W.) said that the Shaitaan flows in the body of a human just as blood flows in the body. In one Hadith it is stated that women are the entrapments of the Shaitaan. It comes in the Qur’an that the Shaitaan says that: “Shaitaan said: "Since Thou have deluded me, I swear that I will indeed waylay them (man) along Thy straight path, then I will surely come upon them from their front, and from their rear, and from their right, and from their left. And Thou will not find majority of them grateful." (Surah A’araaf, Aayat 16-17), **
When a person harms another or he invites another person to evil in different ways he is in actual fact an agent of the Shaitaan In reality he is the Shaitaan in human form, that is why we have been prescribed this du’aa: “I seek refuge in Allah from that Jinn and human that inject evil thoughts in the hearts of the people
“And scare with your cries whomsoever you can among them, and assault them with your cavalry and your infantry, and share with them in property and progeny, and hold out promises to them. And the Shaitaan makes only deceitful promises to them.” (Surah Bani Isra’eel, Aayat 64)
Jinns are obviously scared, wiht the humans not every Jinn dare to get inside human body, i have heard its so tough for the Jinns it equivalent to touching a heavy tension electricity wire.
I have practiced lucid dreaming for many years, and have encountered Jinnat in dreams several times. I can assure you that they are real and that they also live in Hell. I believe that the only way for a Jinn to get inside of a person's body is if that person "pushes their luck" and visits places that are haunted by them. But, simply reading the Quran out loud would be enough for a person to rid themselves of any Jinn, so they probably only target feeble minded people who can't protect themselves.
