I’m getting this really annoying popup and the page redirects every time I watch clips on certain sites.. I’m running the latest version of Firefox and I normally get a reminder on my desktop when I need to update Java (which I’m not at the moment)..
Looks like you do. it looks like a legit warning. Still just hover your mouse around the link in browser (where you type link address) to make sure its not a suspicious address, before doing java update.
Yes you have to make sure its not a spam. You can do two things:
1) In firefox , try watching video clips from different sites. if its a java problem, it should appear from pretty much everywhere.
2) Try using Chrome before downloading java. May be wont need it at all
We rely heavily on Java plugins at work since most of our tools are built in Java. That looks like a good update window but you don't have to update it. After clicking ok cancel anything that asks you to download and install.
I was a firefox addict too. But not anymore. Chrome is top of the list. you should try it for some days and you'll be happily switching
I use both occasionally. But har recently disturbs me is the number of processes Chrome tends to start for every Tab that is opened. And it seems to keep itself increase.
