i had my second misscarriage in may 2008, at 18 weeks..
my doc advised me to wait for atleast six months and then start trying again.. so we are TTC form past 5 months now and no luck yet..my periods are regular and my cycle is of 30 days length.. in my past two pregnancies (both ended in m/c) we had to try only for two months..
now pls tell me should i consult my doc for infertility issues/tests/advice etc..is there any possibilty of fertility problems?
my husband says just have patience and pray to Allah. but my mom and mil are very desperate to hear good news from us..
this all is very frustating and i m very worried:(.. pls advise me something.
If u have concieved before.. and now you have regular periods.. I dont think there's really a need to go to the doctor right now.
But however you can go to have the doctor's opinion if u have worries..
thanks HW, Sadaf and Niksik !thanks for your kind responses.
i my self think that i dont have any fertility issues, cz i never had any Alhamdulillah, unless they have developed now..5 months is infact nothing when we talk about conceiving but when every one asks me 'any news this month', 'why u are taking so long', it seems to me as if we are trying for 5 years and not 5 months.
you should get yourself checked out by your gynaecologist.. sometimes there are issues that get overlooked while pregnant.. Your gynaecologist can run a few tests on you making sure your uterus is not septic or bicornuet (the top of the uterus might have a dimple on it that might be preventing baby growth inside the body).. also get your blood checked.. if you have a negative blood group it could have adverse effects on the fetus.. and usually end up in miscarriage.. the doctors should be able to give you meds for that right away to reverse that for future pregnancies..
my gynae recommended a scan where they inserted dye into the uterus and the tubes to make sure there was no blockage or anything that we needed to be aware of before starting to try to conceive and i thought that was a good idea incase you needed to knw whether you might need infertility treatments and such!
all in all my dear.. Pray to Allah.. read Surah Maryam, Surah Yaseen and Surah Muhammad..
PS im not a gynaecologist.. i jst knw all this info!

thanks mysticalrain for your kind response! :)
after my second miscarrige i got all the tests done.. Alhamdulillah there is no complication like eg antibodies (which some times develop during pregnancy) or blood clotting etc. also i have a positive blood group.. the problem which doctors think resulted in miscarg was probably "incompetent cervix" for which they suggest cerclage in my next pregnancy.. though i have not yet got my self tested for any tube blockage but i am definitly going to discuss this with my gyneacologist.
i strongly believe in the power of prayer and i will definitly read those Surahs u recommended.. i daily recite Surah e Maryam and Surah e Mulk, and will definitly recite Surah e Muhammad and Surah e Yaseen from today InshaAllah..

Totally agree.
meher, you should wait before you get pregnant again. Allow recovery time and don't let anyone's pressure get to you.
Agree.

How could you find that you have issues or not lol.
They are very jaldbaaz ppl so don't listen to them. Your husband seems to be a very wise person listen to him.
dont listen to anyone... easier said than done I know, but listen to hubz. Inshallah things will work out for you.
yeah worry and stress can affect your chance of concieving, try the times in the middle of the month days 13, 14 , 15 from the first day of your period, try and get away for a break at that time. the ovolution test kits are a good indication as to when you most fertile time is but sometimes worrying about doing the test everyday can add to the stress. try it for one cycle and then let nature take its course.
dont listen to what people say as this is not something that you can just go and buy from the shop, it is up to allah and inshallah it will happen soon just have belief that whatever happens is for the best. i myself had 2 misscarrages 2 failed ivf attempts and after 7 years i was blessed with a beautifil daughter, and mashallah i have a beatiful son. it is all down to begging allah for a chance to become a mum.
yes i love being a mum but enjoy the time you and your husband have aswell make the most of it try and get way on as mush trips and outings as you can enjoy life to the max!!!
maybe my situation is worse than you, my husband always has biz trip out of town~ as Sheeny said above try the times in the middle of the month days 13, 14 , 15 from the first day of period, I have tried at least 3months, why still no good news? so sad~
You guys, getting the ovulation dates right is the key. I got mine wrong by couple of days until i bought the fertility monitor which did every calculation for me. Its the best investment i have EVER made! On the first try - Alhumdullilah it worked!
meher, inshaAllah it will happen soon. We started trying 3 months after my miscarriage and it took us six months of really irregular cycles. Then one month i decided to get checked out to make sure nothing was wrong. The midwife who ran the tests told me there was something wrong with my endometrial lining and i couldnt get pregnant. She referred me to a fertility specialist. Alhamdulillah i concieved that very same cycle.
We were also bombarded with supposedly well meaning people who would keep asking why we hadnt conceieved yet when the first time it only took one cycle? BUt seriously these things are in the hands of Allah. Just enjoy the time iwth your husband and the baby will come when you least expect it.
well ladies! thank u all for ur responses.. Finally i have good news to share with u, i missed my period this month and HPT came out positive Alhamdulillah
i thank Allah in every breath i take..may HE bless me with a healthy child, amen.
please pray for me cz after 2 miscargz this pregnancy is a bit high risk.. i may have to undergo the cerclage procedure if my cervix come out to be incompetent in scan.. i will keep u all updated..
Awwww....Meher im so happy for you mashallah. Thats so nice to hear. May Allah keep you and ur bubba healthy and make this very easy for you inshallah. Just take it easy and be stress free. Enjoy your time.
