Do colours matter in Istikhara? For the last two times I’ve done Istikhara, I usually see two colours together, either red & white or green & black? What does that mean? I am confused what does that mean. Please help.

Re: Do colours matter in Istikhara?
red = danger
white = peace**
while
green = signal to go ahead
black = sign of sadness****
in the first set of colors you are warned of 'possible dangers' while in the second pair of colors you have been warned of 'some kind of sadness' that might ensue meaning you have danger of some sadness if you follow thru.
on the contrary,
you also have green and white colors which means you can forge ahead with your intentions and you can expect to be at peace.
***now, you have to set of opposing signs...one is positive while the other one is negative...since humans must be positive in their attitude and outlook so you may choose to go ahead and be at peace.* :)
ps:**
whatever you are trying to get guidance about must be Islamically a legal thing...you can't do istiKhara to buy a lottery ticket lol. :D**

Lol, no, its not about lottery.
So, in the second case, first i saw black colour, & then green & then white, so shall i proceed with it?

Re: Do colours matter in Istikhara?
Yes, but first i saw black colour, so that’s what is scaring me to proceed
shall i or shall i not proceed? ![]()
Re: Do colours matter in Istikhara?
yes, you may go ahead because i think the black color is negated/canceled by the ‘green light’ … it’s a kinda ‘go ahead signal’
Have trust in Allah, iA, sab saHeeH hogaa! ![]()

Re: Do colours matter in Istikhara?
istikharas should leave you with a very vivid gut feeling of going ahead or not. if still confused, keep doing istikhara.
Re: Do colours matter in Istikhara?
luckily i know this situation
i had the similar situation.. plz stop..
don't go ahead becaz this situation will make u cry in ure future .. it is not a good option
Re: Do colours matter in Istikhara?
I hope you know, you shouldn’t be discussing your dream here when you do an Istikhara..
It has been told to avoid telling it to every other person but only to an Aalim, as he can guide you the right way. its not necessary that everyone here will give you the serious answers and so “such things” doesn’t afford any kind unexpected sentences..
wese bhi, one should not discuss the dreams in front of everyone..!
so next time when you do the istikhara, just write it on the paper what you seen.. do it for seven days, keep on writing your dreams and do not discuss it even with your siblings, just tell it to an Aalim and get the right Ta`bir!
