yes they do sleep,

from personal experience, when you awake at night or early morning, and see a fly standing somewhere, very still, and you make a gesture towards the fly, and they dont move,

. . . because if by sleeping you mean closing your eyes and coming down to your basal body temperature, then plants don't sleep.
