I’ve heard that men aren’t wired to be with just one woman; that it requires internal struggle/effort to remain committed to one woman…so they’re allowed 4 wives a d even more in the next world. So, now I just think the whole concept of true love is an illusion. If it’s not in the nature of men…then I think maybe women shouldn’t bother becoming deeply emotionally attached to any guy…not even her husband. Give your best to your relationships but somehow manage a detachment to protect yourself. But that’s easier said than done…attachments form as smoothly as blood flows thru one’s body.

Sister, we men are wired that way, that’s why Allah (swt) promised us hoor in jannat-ul-firdous, while women get the best reward possible, to be with her husband (and his promised hoor al’aeen) for all eternity.
