Yes. If given the opportunity. You must understand the psychology of men. Given the chance a lesser man would fall prey to his desires and give in. But on the other hand it would take an equally spiritually strong man to avoid cheating hence curbing his desires. But in that instance his object of desire must be bigger than the desire which is before him.

Hence if he let lust control his actions he’ll cheat, if he seeks something other than lust then he may not. But most men today are slaves to their nafs.

I’ve heard that men aren’t wired to be with just one woman; that it requires internal struggle/effort to remain committed to one woman…so they’re allowed 4 wives a d even more in the next world. So, now I just think the whole concept of true love is an illusion. If it’s not in the nature of men…then I think maybe women shouldn’t bother becoming deeply emotionally attached to any guy…not even her husband. Give your best to your relationships but somehow manage a detachment to protect yourself. But that’s easier said than done…attachments form as smoothly as blood flows thru one’s body.
