"Hand on the buzzer". The second we saw any wicket fell, a barrage of Dyna beauty soap commercials and Amir Khan in Coca-Cola laboratory were thrown at us in loops, over and over and over again. One of the many underlying reasons of the deteriorating levels of interest in this tournament.
I had placed a high amount of interest in the Indian team, to be honest. Unfortunately, besides a miraculous century and a few bursts, they were as stale as those West Indies. Seeing the long-lost brother of Sami, Sir Agarkar, once again was a final nail in the coffin. No clue on earth why RP Singh of all people were even selected in the final team. No contribution from Sehwag and Dhoni, which made their positions all more susceptible.
