Has anyone worked with Desi Junction Djs (DJ Chani) in Houston, TX or DJs like that which take care of DJ, lighting, and other entertainment (professional dancers, etc) ? How much does Desi Junction charge for lighting and DJ and what is your experience working with them? I am curious because it seems they work a lot of events and nearly every wedding I go to has fantastic colored lighting done by them. Thought I’d ask here before emailing for a quote to get the scoop from someone who has worked with them before.

Its not Desi Junction but my wedding was done by DJ Impact & Dholi JupmasterG and they did an AMAZING job! Lighting/music/announcements....everything went perfect and my guests LOVED the dhol during reception.

Thanks for the reply Paheli00. DJ Impact did my sister's wedding a few years ago. Back then his charges were $600. I was interested in trying someone new but DJ Impact has been a staple on the DJ scene for desis. How much did you end up paying for the lighting and music, if you don't mind me asking? I am a little worried about budget because back in the day lighting was not a huge trend and now I feel for me its a must have! Just curious if I could afford it.

The # of canisters you need/want for uplighting around the room...and whether or not you want to add any "special effects" will alter the price dramatically......not to mention how many hours you want him there for. Since you have already worked with Impact before (and I assume you were happy with his work at your sister's wedding)......I strongly urge you to call him and get a quote based on your specific wants. You have nothing to lose by asking him for a quote.
