The sweeper cleaning the room of my mother when she was hospitalized in NICVD, Karachi in 2000 referred to that great man - Doctor Asadullah Kundi - a renowned cardiologist of Karachi - as “diyalo” which means (in hindi) one who is a very generous and kind. He is a very simple and religious man. At that time he was only working at the NICVD (unlike other doctors who give more time to their private clinic). In addition to this he is a member of the NICVD Foundation which gives subsidised rate medical services to the needy people.
We need more people like him in every field in Pakistan.
