DIY vs Salon Tan?

I dunno girls I am sort of partial on which way to go, I would prefer a Salon Tan but I am afraid the gori will tan me all too dark.

With DIY atleast I’ll have control over the shade but then again there are so many products. I’ve been doing patch tests, I like BodyShop’s Fake it but it takes overnight to get to the shade which is a bit annoying. I havent tried the spray on ones yet…
dunno anyone with any input ??

I like salon tans over home ones too, I find the home ones either make you look too orangey or they leave you looking streaky when they dry.

I did try a couple of spray on ones but could never get the angles of the aerosol right. The only one type I would consider buying would be the mousse type tans, because at least with those you can see where you've applied the product.
