So i'm going to buy some more memory for my laptop, either that or smash it.
....anyway, is memory easy to install,** i mean can i carry out the installation with say rubber gloves** when i'm holding the RAM sticks or no?

DO NOT use rubber gloves, you will only multiply the chances of static charge build up. using bare hands is a better option than that. just make sure you do not touch the components & exposed terminals.
