okay, i'm going to try both the BB stick foundation and Estee Lauder's Double Wear foundation. I've been recommended that one a lot as well. BB seems to have a better color selection for me (I need serious yellow undertone foundation!) but i've heard it doesn't do well for sensitive skin which I have.. :/ I'll try both and see what works best though.
Can you guys recommend a good primer and concealer! :)
So I've been on a roll doing tons and tons of research and have managed to cut down my wedding budget by almost $8,000! yay me So have any of you done your own makeup for your wedding? I'm seriously considering it, but is there anything I should know first? I'm concerned the most about base makeup, like foundation, concealer, powder.. I don't normally use primer but would you recommend it for wedding makeup? What would be the biggest problem? Any advice or product suggestions would be very much appreciated, you guys are the best! <3
Nice!
It's funny though - i'm a makeup artist, but i'm still hiring someone to do my makeup for my wedding. I just want to relax & be pampered :)
One piece of advice for all the brides who want to do their own makeup -- try to avoid using a foundation with SPF in it, as it doesn't photograph nice at all. High-defination foundations are the BEST..!

Concealer: I like MAC's concealer. I still use that and their pressed powder even though I do not like their foundation., I would also recommend Makeup Forever's (MUF) concealer, Bobbi Browns concealer is great too.
For Face Primer - Smashbox Photo finish primer is UNBELIEVABLE ... i highly recommend it!
Eyeshadow Primer - Urban Decay Primer Potion
Lip Primer- Guerlain Kiss Kiss Uplift OR Urban Decay Lip Primer Potion
The way I look at it is yes - you may have to spend alot of money to get all the products you need to create your wedding look...but it is STILL cheaper than hiring a makeup artist to do it AND you get to keep and use all the products afterwards :)
Definitely look into Make Up Forever's HD foundation - it's medium to full coverage, lasts all day and looks AMAZING in photos! Definitely use primer on your face and prime your eyes with Urban Decay primer potion beforehand. I would also suggest doing your eye makeup first on the big day and then doing the rest of your face - so in case you make any mistakes you wont have to start all over again, you won't have the time!! Max Factor lipfinity is amazing for lips, it literally doesn't come off until you take it off with makeup remover. And invest in Bobbi Brown Long wear Gel Eyeliner - it's the BEST eyeliner and even withstands major crying!
I’m a MAC NC44 (which is slightly too dark) and i’m looking to purchase the Kryolan TV stick foundation but i’ll have to order it online so there’s no way of me testing the colour. However, i heard that FS38 would be about right for me…can anyone help out?
