I tried to convert a Divx file of "Batman Begins" into VCD format by using Nero Version 6.0. Now, when I play the Divx avi file on the computer, the quality is amazing and it does come as full screen. However, when I convert it into VCD and play the MPEG VCD format, the ratio aspect or something like that gives out on me and I'm left with the movie running on less than half the screen. I don't want those two big black blocks on the top and bottom on my VCD file damn it! I even split the movie in half and tried to burn it on two CD's, but the same problem came up. Can somebody please post a solution here and shed light on what I might be doing wrong here?*
dude..i had the same problems...what i did now is that i bought myself a dvd player that supports divx, xvid, mpegXX, avi files....i dont even have to do no conversions anymore..just drop the files in ur empty dvd, and put it in the stand alone dvd player and walaaah it works like a charm!
So with this DVD player that supports Divx and related formats, you are saying that you just burned the Divx file on to a blank DVD and the DVD player plays it and the quality is fine?
why burn batman xvid to vcd when there are proper DVD converted SVCD rips out and even DVDR (for backup purposes, only if u own the original batman dvd)
but like others said buy a dvd player that supports xvid/divx , thats the best option, plus this way u will be able to burn over 3-4 xvid films on each DVD
