Everyone isn’t the same. Some people don’t care much for it and can live perfectly happy lives without a partner. While there are others who can’t fathom being alone, even for a week.

my life hasn't been easy after divorce but when I look back at the married life I had spent I thank Allah a million times for getting me out of it. Either I would have died or become insane if I had continued living with that man and his family.
People will look down upon divorce , even your own folks and after divorce your closest relations change with you but sometimes you just have to choose the least difficult/tough option.
IMO Pakistanis are now becoming more open to divorce when it comes to others but when it comes to own self , your family or you marrying a divorcee they still are quite orthodox.

Unfortunately, that's true.
I'm glad you made the choice you did, at least you have peace in your own home and more peace in your personal life than you would have, if you would have stayed with him.
