*065.002 ** *Surah Talaq
- YUSUFALI: Thus when they fulfil their term appointed, either take them back on equitable terms or part with them on equitable terms; and take for witness two persons from among you, endued with justice, and establish the evidence (as) before Allah. Such is the admonition given to him who believes in Allah and the Last Day. And for those who fear Allah, He (ever) prepares a way out,
I believe this verse is absolutely clear on the need of two witnesses, then how come certain sects claim that just by uttering the word ‘talaq’ thrice at once in a state of anger will cause the annulment of marriage.
What am I missing here?

Nobody wants to talk about real issues relating to Fiqh and instead waste time throwing dirt and calling takfir on each other.

There is a difference in Following the proper process of Talaq or just uttering three times. This is the main misconception. Once you know the proper process it will be easy to keep your husband/wife then leave.

Triple Talaq is a controversial Sunni Islamic procedure whereby a husband can divorce his wife by saying to her “talaq, talaq, talaq” (“I divorce you”, three times). It is not used in Shi’a jurisprudence, since they deem the talaq to be a procedure rather than a decision.
TRIPLE TALAQ IN LIGHT OF QURAN :_ Infact ,Triple Talaq( in one sitting )is not a part of Quran and was used in times of Caliph Hazrat Umar.Surah Nisa clearrly asks to reconcile with the help of arbitrators .if such attemps fail,then talaq is allowed to pronounce,meeting various conditions as mentioned in Quran Shariff .The wife on whom divorce has been pronounced has to stay with the Husband for the period of iddat and husband has to bear all the expenditures .This is the time given by Allah to patch up .if they patch up during iddat ,husband can take his wife back ,without undergoing any nikah .If they dont patch up ,then after iddat ,diorce is complete and two persons are made witnesses. This talaq ,if given properly ,meeting various pre n post conditions ,is considerd as one talaq . The husband can marry the properly divorced wife again,but with a new nikah . Again he is allowed to give divorce for the second time and again allowed to take his wife back but if he divorces for the third time ,that Divorced wife is made haram on him.If the women gets married to other man n he divorces her ,she can again get married to the first husband ( with whom she had been divorced thrice earlier). Thats the true picture of Triple divorce ,in the light of Quran . Quran is very clear with its way to divorce n these are we who have dared enough to ignore laws/verses of Quran for a saying of caliph Hazrat Umar ,which neither Quran approves ,neither Rasul(SAW) accepted .
I don’t think all the Sunni Schools agree with this and wikipedia has over simplified. I know Hanafi school agrees with 3 utterances as 3 divorices whereas Hanbalis disagree?
