As I sift thru some history, I see that especially the Middle East and Persian areas are filled with monotheistic revelations and prophecies and such. There seems to be a great deal of communication between God, the Angels, etc and mankind.

Otherwise how would we know so much about Jinns, the Devil, and other such characters and events?

Yet, in the here and now, there is little that one hears of revelations and of communication between humans and the Divine.

Why don’t we recieve miracles, and prophets, and revelations, and encounters with Angels anymore?

Did God just decide to cut the communication, or have we gotten too rational and analytic?

Second question is why do all these traditions come from the Middle East/Persian areas?

Why don’t we have such evidence of Divine communication from China? from Europe? from the Americas? Although there was a Prophet sent to each kind of tribe, according to the Quran?

I know this is a common question, and I’m certainly not looking for any Divine communication. I think if the Devil or if some Angel communicated with me, I’d have a heart attack on the spot. In fact, just typing about it sends shivers down my spine.

Erm. Its almost 2 am here, and I’m scared of the dark now. :bummer: I’ve spent the last two hours or so browsing about the Dead Sea Scrolls, Azazil as Iblis, and some other random stuff.

:frowning: I don’t want to go to bed. It means I have to turn the lights off. Help?

as Muslims we believe that Divine revelation ended with the completion of Islam. there will be no new religions, and thus no new prophets.

that said every culture has its own traditions regarding spirits, and theres present day sufferers too. they're classified as mad or unexplainable psychiatric conditions. every culture that I've been in has ghosts and spirits.

have you heard of sleep hag? the condition where you feel the presence of another being when you go to sleep, you wake up and see and feel something/someone physically holding you down.

every culture has a different interpretation of it. scientists though say that it happens when you're in REM and your brain disconnects from your body. sometimes you wake up and for some reason your brain doesnt reconnect. they dont know what that 'some reason' is.

so you know.. we have sortof gotten into the habit of disbelieving notions of ghosts and spirits and jinns and devils, even though people still experience phenomenon similar to what people used to experience in times past. whether you classify that as jinn or unexplained psychiatric/physiological phenomenon, depends on how analytic you are.

actually the system of prophecies was not only in asia or middle east but it 1st started from ISRAEL, as they were called as BANI ISRAEL,

until the time there were prophets in BANI ISRAEL and some of the people followed them , the reveleation and other heavenly things kept coming like manosalva and commandments etc...

but as the prophets would get apart from world, the people after the prophets started making FITNAH in the ummah as we can see the fitnah's in our ummah today,

and also during the life of prophets allah wuld send the complete commandments in the book , so there remains nothing which ALLAH wants to reveal after the death of prophet as the prophets were direct messengers from allah,

so the reveleations would stop after them,

and as the people in ISRAEL dint accepted and followed their books properly the spread of the relegion brought up by prophets like jesus and moses stopped, so the people towards the countris of fareast like AMERICA / EUROPE/ NETHERLANDS etc... kept following the wrong informations and the changes made by isrealis in their books and they became like munafiks, as the information which they got itself was made contaminated by some people who came after the prophets....

and later it shifted to middle east that is in ARABIYA with pbuh,

asd as pbuh was the last prophet who must be accepted by all the people in this universe he got many reveleation about each and evry creature on earth and about the tribes and ummah came before him and about judgement day and evry thing about heaven and hell and etc......

and as far as jinns are concerned they can't do anything but only with the order of allah,
not to forget they are not the ASHRAF AL MAKHLOOKAT, ITS WE THE SON OF ADAM THE ASHRAF AL MAKHLOOQAT as allah saidin quran,
and thats the reason y allah made all the angels and jinn to bow in fron t of adam(as) , to accept that we the best.

so they are afraid of us , not we.

hain? prophecies and prophets didn't come before bani israel? What does Bani Israel have to do with anything?

Are u telling me the Chinese people only needed one revelation? Do you know for how long those guys have been worshipping pagan gods?

** 1*. Prophet Mohammed is the last prophet. No other prophet with new shariya will come.
* 2*. Well if your eyes are closed what should I do? There is a special person, for whom people are waiting from ages, has now come. Most os the people are in darkness. Because their moto is Eat, drink and be merry. They dont think on the religious or current affairs side. Well if you want to know, you can ask freely.
**3.* Divine cummunication is not ended. If you try to contact with Allah, he will reply you. Hmmm aint it interesting.

In my opinion, those who saw miracles in history didnt know or understand the laws of phyiscs as we do today. Hence, they didnt appreciate the gravity of what they were seeing as we would today. As such, they didnt have an unfair advantage over you. Was that your concern? miracles today would make existence of God a certain fact, without understanding his ethical and reasonable nature.
