So if we meet an American, who says he's Texan, would you call him racist.
Are you sure you are a Paki. Every Paki knows what a Potohari is. Basically, if you read the opening message, the girl said she is from Islamabad. People from Islamabad and the neighbouring town are Potoharis. I take it you don't know what a Karachiwala is or what a Lahori is either.
And how has not knowing where Mirpur is make you a liberal. Find out where it is, because its an important settlement in Pakistan.
Your ignorance about Pakistan surprises me, especially as our capital is in Potohar. Its not some obscure region like Gwadar or South Waziristan.
Potohari and mirpuri are the words I'd rather not know. Tell me someone is from Islamabad and I'll understand very well. Instead of calling someone a gujju, tell me they're from gujraat and i would appreciate. Thanks.
PS: Neither did I call myself liberal, nor any of u racists.
Now I am really confused. How is calling someone a Potohari the same as calling someone a Gujju. I am going to assume that you are not a Pakistani or of Pakistani origin.
Potohar is a geographic region, in northern Pakistan. Its the region in and around Islamabad. Look up any map of Pakistan, or speak to someone from Islamabad. The dialect of Punjabi spoken in the region, as Nosh has helpfully explained is called Potohari. People from this region, including Islamabadis are refered to as Potohari. Just like people from Lahore are refered to as Lahori.
The Pothohar Plateau (also spelled Pothwar, Potowar or Potohar) (Urdu: سطح مرتفع پوٹھوہار) is a plateau in the province of Punjab, Pakistan. The area was the home of the Soanian Culture, which is evidenced by the discovery of fossils, tools, coins, and remains of ancient archaeological sites. The local people speak Potowari a language in its own right.
