Re: Distance Learning in the UAE
^ you probably have a better idea about the local credibility of the institution, but from what I know, it's a fairly new institution (a year old), and is doing pretty well for itself in terms of establishing partnerships with leading schools around the world - including Haas School of Business, Berkeley, as well as obtaining a couple of European accreditations from educational governing associations.
It'll probably be another 4 to 5 years before we know how well they're doing... once their first couple of batches of graduates embrace the workforce etc.
This thread was about e-leaning / distance education, and HBMeU was the only one I knew of that offered such a learning model in the UAE.... that's why I mentioned it here.
Re: Distance Learning in the UAE
You are right, we only will know how they REALLY are doing when the first couple of batches graduate.
Re: Distance Learning in the UAE
does anyone here know of any universities in the UAE or KSA, offering distance learning or external candidate admissions (those who are not required to attend regular university classes)?
i'm looking for degree courses specifically in history/ islamic history.
also if you know of such courses anywhere in the gulf region where one can get admission while living in the UAE.
i checked the VU and AIOU of Pakistan also, they do not have enough information on their website. If you know something about VU/AIOU on this subject, please do share.
Plz contact with me i will give u complete any information about VU
