Displaying Photos

Are you in favour of or against displaying personal family photos in living rooms, guest rooms, corridors, stairways etc… in basically any places in your house to which the visitors/guests have access to?

I got a digital photo frame to put in the sitting room and display random pics but mom was really against it, and I understand where she’s coming from… she doesn’t really want her daughters posing like maniacs (:D) and then putting those pics up in the sitting room for every tom, dick n harry to see.

Yea I am not in the favor of it too . Means pics of forefathers , maybe , but otherwise I doubt it . It will kill the whole purpose of purdah .

I know this newly married couple who have their wedding pics displayed like everywhere! They enlarged them and framed them n all....

By tom dick n harry I meant strangers… outside the family… outside the friends circle… and we get a lot of em coz of dad’s business etc.

Keep them in the family room only where the strangers are not invited in.... my mom has our wedding pics and her grandkids' pictures all over the house, just not in the formal living room.

I also have tons of family pictures (my parents, my in-laws, etc.) in the family room, not in the guest bedroom or the formal living room.

I only like family personal portraits in bedrooms, offices and in the hallways upstairs.

My mom however has pictures of us and the grandkids everywhere from every periods of our life. She even has our wedding albums and other albums in the family room. And the fridge is full of the grandkids.

I guess she misses the kids in the house so she likes it that way.

I am not in favor of that too. Its better they are in albums or in computer.:)

I heard angels don't come into your house if you have pics up? So ever since my mom heard that she took the "majority" down...and i'm quite thankful...as I really didn't want ppl seeing my pics and then saying weird things to me! lol

^ even if they don't say it, they could be thinking anything.... is the bit about the angels true?

But thats not the point... its more of a purdah issue like Nami said.. even from ur male family friends/distant relatives etc...

Anyhoooooo, I'm putting the frame in my room now! I'd be sick of looking at all of us haha!
