Was just wondering, If a pakistani girl does something wrong like drink alcohol or drugs, its often more worse then when boys do that.
Why is this? Do we? expect that much from them, that we dont believe that they can do such terrible things, and boys can?
Cuz if a girl and a guy would smoke, every1 would say: What a bad baaad girl and nothing bout the boy, although they both were doing the same thing.
Is this discrimmination? if not, then what is it?
Dear mods, If u feel that this thread is out of place @ fsmily, feel free to move it to other :k:
Unfortunately, there is a double-standard for men and women in our community. Men get away with a lot of things that a woman would become 'badnaam' for...dating, drinking, smoking, etc. Rarely are the guy's actions questioned whereas the girl is automatically labelled a tart, 'awara' or assumed not to be from a 'good' family. However, if a guy does the same thing, it's hardly ever questioned and basically dusted under the rug, especially if he's some hotshot professional. Oh well! That's life!
male has been demned the stronger sex i don't know if that influences the decision making in eastern houses, but i don't agree with Praetextatus about boys getting awayt with it, that might be the case around where your from or live but here we are treated equally on some scales not all so this thread or ? remains unanswered its a big one yep................
almost in every society, men r allowed to get away with things....
even under a circumstance like rape, where its 100% man's mistake and no wrong whatsoever by the woman, its alsmot always the woman who has to go thru the sufferings, and almost always labelled with a bad name....
