is it just me or do Pakistanis who actually look a bit white or have that sort of pathan or caucasian look on their face.. can get discriminated against by people who are more desi looking.I have noticed that certain pakistanis would treat me differently because of my appearace and would act more arrogant and stubborn in front of me then they would infront of other people.I had a business meeting with this sindhi guy,and now he is ignoring my phone calls and i feel that he is not comfortable talking to me because he sees a bit of a gora in me.It does’nt happen a lot with me,but when it does i sort of know what the reason is.

use more apnay sentences. if its happening often then have a look at how your meeting people for the first time. remember people like to recipricate feelings and it may be that you are waiting for signs of peoples oppinion towards you rather then the much more successful tactic of taking the game to them with a smile and a very very positive outlook.
btw light skin is an advantage not a disadvantage throughout the planet

could be other reasons why he is ignoring calls.....cause business has nothing to do with ...colour ...nationality...etc...business is business...& is done for profit.....

reverse racism or racism are both bad.
when you are being treated racist when you are not the target, but look like one, is plain bad luck.
it is very difficult to undo the mind of a prejudiced, stereotypic frame.
it is not impossible.
educate people about this. and hopefully it will not happen or happen less.
and then you can counter it for your know its signs.

u will realize that not all decisions in business world are made based on what is right, a number are made on the decisionmakers personal views, preferences, prejudices etc. so to the person making the decision it may be the right decision even if it was not the right decision empirically speaking.

Fraudia bhai is absoultely right in saying the reality vs. theory.
to add to this: to halt this, you must be aware always of who you are doing business with. make sure that any insinuation of discriminatory whiffs are checked or brought out on the table without mulling it with sweet-coats of benefit of doubts, thus that very discreetly attempted discrimination is killed at its root. it takes time and wisdom to get there. strong lobby with moderates on both sides, is a must.
otherwise, white collar justice, remains, for whites only. unfortunately. and we all know how corrupt the non white collar justice system is as well.
