Im getting dark patches in the corners of my lips all of a sudden, and no idea why? I don’t use any products as such at first I put it down to waxing/threading of upper lip but its not even there its at the corner of the lip and is extending downwards where I dont even wax? anyone have this or know whats going on?

Could be an allergy. My cousin gets similar discoloration when she eats stuff she is allergic to.

I read that darkness around your mouth is a sign of iron difficency, try to eat more iron rich foods. Also I kind of had the same issue, try using shesado whitening seirum daily

Oh gosh, I had discoloration that started from the corner if my mouth and went outwards and downward. Only in my case it was itchy and scaly and scabs would form...which would bleed after I picked at them. It developed suddenly and it seemed to disappear just as quickly, Alhumdolillah. I think it was around spring so maybe it was allergies or an eczema flare up. I do recall my friend gave me fresh aloe vera gel that she got from her aloe plant. So, I'd apply that. I also recall getting tazorac ointment from doctor for discoloration and that helped but I don't remember if it was for this particular issue or overall acne blemishes.
Sometimes I've gotten discoloration and cracks in the corners of my mouth....called cheilitis or cheiliosis or something like that which can be vitamin B deficiency...and taking vit B would solve the problem fairly quickly.

i had the same problem and this is what i did and it worked for me.keep ur skin around lips well hydrated. L`occitane do a brightening cleanser and toner use both in the morning and afternoon. use high spf factor. i dont know about paris but here in england u can get multivitamiins designed specifically for skin hair and nails called perfectil. take one of daily. ti took almost 12-14 weeks before i can notice any difference but my skin is even toned now alhamdullilah

is there a more affordable version of perfectil? it's only a 30 day supply and would only last 1 month and is 15$ a pop that's a 180$ per year of this multivitamin. Plus you're saying it takes 3 months for any noticeable change to show.

I'm the opposite, the area around my upper lip is going lighter than my whole face and foundation doesn't even cover it up or camouflage it.

My lips become exceedingly dry. I've tried everything but nothing works.

Keep the area well moisturized and that helps reduce it significantly also try putting sunscreen around that area.
