I would officially like to a condemn and show my disappointment in the Gohar Shahi’s advertisement on GS. Personally I am hurt and disappointed, and I believe I represent dozens of Muslim members on this site and thousands of Muslims world wide.

They're automatically generated, probably from the agency that provides the ads. Objectionable ads get reported and removed. Possibly this one will be too, hold your horses.

no i mean hold on the disappointment, not the reporting! why would you be disappointed if the admin team just hadnt noticed it yet?
Natural Human reaction, imagine this is what u see early in the morning on a site u consider a family from past 7 years. it was an expression of strong complain.
Let us focus on the issue rather than going into the meaning of each and every word we type.
I have made my point and request, if admins wish they may lock the thread. There is nothing more to debate about it in this thread, if anyone wish to discuss the matter in detail they may open another thread in appropriate forum

as always, we will listen to member's input and feedback. many a times we do not have control over what gets displayed but we try.
And regarding Iqbal day, the idea is to spread awareness and recognize the lifetime achievements of the person. No one is celebrating death.

Iqbal Day is supposed to be on 9th November not 21Ist April, right?
the above mentioned banner is in recognition of his lifetime achievements and not of his death. it is pretty obvious that the banner is about celebrating the man himself …why would Gs want to celebrate his death!

I would like to say that freedom of speech and the need for awareness both favor leaving the ad there. It does not matter what our opinion is and in fact I found it enlightening to learn about this person and his beliefs. I do not agree or support his opinions but it is useful to learn as much as we can about everyones beliefs etc.
I found this man similar to the beliefs of Gulam Mirza Ahmed because they both belief themselves to be the second coming of Jesus. How else can we learn about such people if ads like this are not place for creating interest?
