I have witnessed people in my life who used to practice Islam from heart with very strong faith. Though I never intended to judge them, but they at times gave me a strong impression that they are doing good deeds not to show gratitude in front of Allah (s.w.t) but only to gain favors in this world so that they are not put to any pain. BUT when they were tested hard, and their prayers apparently didn’t seemed answered (at once), they started giving an impression of being unhappy with Allah (s.w.t). Their daily practice started to lack luster and their words showed that they question the wisdom of Allah (s.w.t) behind circumstances that jolted them.
I remember the words of Quran that most of the pain that comes our way is because of our own past mistakes, and most of the good that we see in our life is because of Allah (s.w.t). Even when HE TESTS us through difficult times, that is meant to polish us, to wash our past sins and make our this life and hereafter easier. I was reading Quran the other day when I came across a verse mentioning that Allah (s.w.t) gives more blessings to those who are thankful (in all situations) but those who are unthankful, they only harm themselves.
Here is a good example of how we are ourselves responsible for the bad times that we see in this life
May Allah (s.w.t) bless us with the strength and wisdom to remain thankful to Allah in all situations because HIS decision is always right and for our BEST interest but at times we might not be able to understand the wisdom behind those decisions due to our limited mental capabilities and knowledge. But if we keep our Imaan (Faith) strong, inshaAllah we would be able to understand better with time and experience. ALLAH (s.w.t) knows BEST!
Quote:
A man went to a barbershop to have his hair cut and his beard trimmed. As the barber began to work, they began to have a good conversation. They talked about so many things and various subjects. When they eventually touched on the subject of God, the barber said: 'I don't believe that God exists.' 'Why do you say that?' asked the customer. 'Well, you just have to go out in the street to realize that God doesn't exist.Tell me, if God exists, would there be so many sick people? Would there be abandoned children? If God existed, there would be neither suffering nor pain. I can't imagine a loving God who would allow all of these things.'The customer thought for a moment, but didn't respond because he didn't want to start an argument. The barber finished his job and the customer left the shop. Just after he left the barbershop, he saw a man in the street with long, stringy, dirty hair and an untrimmed beard. He looked dirty and unkempt. The customer turned back and entered the barber shop again and he said to the barber: 'You know what? Barbers do not exist.''How can you say that?' asked the surprised barber. 'I am here, and I am a barber. And I just worked on you!' 'No!' the customer exclaimed. 'Barbers don't exist because if they did, there would be no people with dirty long hair and untrimmed beards, like that man outside.' 'Ah, but barbers DOexist! That's what happens when people do not come to me.' 'Exactly!' affirmed the customer. 'That's the point! God, too, DOES exist! That's what happens when people do not go to Him and don't look to Him for help. That's why there's so much pain and suffering in the world.'
Thank you so much for your post.
This is specially true for Pakistani people today. Because their faith on God is getting weaker. majority have turned atheists whether they publically admit or not; hence the misery & all the evil & bad influence that they are going through.
That is what the main purpose of the lucifier is: To make all the believers renounce religion & their belief in God' existance. So, they do not turn to God in hard times or even thank Him in good times since they wont believe in the existance of God anymore. And that's what the reason is for the present misery of Pakistani nation.
u know as much as i liked reading this and knowing that it has always been the case for me, i do know some ppl who r wayyyyyyyyy more pious than me but bad things kp happening to them.. why?? just one of my many unanswered questions...
