**From all I could gather from all the replies I've read. The considerably "older" generation claim to be better than today's "Illiterate" generation. Issues were raised on how the youth of today can't "talk", they talk using "mono syllables" they listen to IPODS, Google whatever they want etc etc. **
I beg to differ but that was then, and this is now. There is an amalgamation of all sorts of people in every generation. Some are poised, sophisticated, learned (apparently) and some are rebels, defy authority. Now the question here is. Who is right and who is wrong.
It's just the angle you look at it from. If I were to be Sire tv actor here. I'd rather go and lock myself in a casket and never come out. If being "old" is about showing off how many beers you drank or how many people you hugged. Then I regret to state. I Would not want to be like them.
As for "read write and talk" Well so can we =)
So I don't think this debate on how older generations are better both morally and ethically is valid. It's subjective and I think very open-ended.
You got it all wrong!
IMO the "YOUNGER" generation is far more in grip of what is to take place tomorrow--then the generation of past which could never ever have imagined the things taking place today.
Having said that, I thought that the only weak point in today's generation, possibly, could be thick-headedness and sticking to their point...irrespective of how wrong or misplaced or irrelevant it may be. Once anything written and said or referred by them...will tend to be declared (NAUO'ZIBILLAH) an AYAT that all boundaries will be crossed to protect however silly hogwash has been said or written by them!
I have my fullest faith in the youth...repeat youth and not someone in disguise of youth..not someone 40+ and posing as a young generation of today!
The YOUNG generation of today will never profess sick mentality and would always forge ahead towards anything which seems laudible to them. They are blessed with certain GOD given gifts of having a better and far more endearing proximity with the world--thanks to the I.T and the the wonders of science which the past generation was deprived of.
We must also remember that there are both risks *involved ... concurrently! the success of the evil and the rise of the good..! and somewhat the more gullible appears the latter!*
Peace...
