dirty pretty things

good movie staring amelie’s Audrey Tautou.

plot outline:Okwe, a kind-hearted Nigerian doctor, and Senay, a Turkish chambermaid, work at the same West London hotel. The hotel is run by Senor Sneaky and is the sort of place where dirty business like drug dealing and prostitution takes place. However, when Okwe finds a human heart in one of the toilets, he uncovers something far more sinister than just a common crime.

Wanted to see this. Worthwhile or not? I thought Amelie sucked. Not you the movie.

Yeh, Amelie the movie sucked. But this is a very good movie. Not like your average Hollywood scene.

You guys must be nuts !! Amelie did not suck ! It was awesome :)

We understand. It's a chick flick.

I loved Amelie...as did my husband but he also speaks french fluently so that may have been the reason...

Matsui...DPT is worth seeing...her character is different in this movie too...

Hubands/Boyfriends never have a choice.

Not true Roman. You always have a choice but husbands/boyfriends always make the wrong choice.

Matsui dear..

ahhhh your husband/boyfriend experience has obviously lbeen bad...sorry to hear that...but don't take it out on Roman.

back to the original thread itself...

I finally got to see "Dirty Pretty Things" last night and I must say it was an awesome movie. A little disturbing to know how people who have so little can be exploited in so many ways by others who can overpower them. But, as the movie points out, a weak individual eventually has no choice but to become strong themself, for the sake of surviving this cruel world.

Great acting and a geat story...
