I read your reply to my post. And i am HAPPY TO SAY THAT I READ A POSITIVE REPLY MADE BY YOU TO MY POST. BUT SAD THAT…THE REST OF THE POSTS WERE AS BLIND AS A BAT.
Can you tell me what does patriotism mean?
Have you ever thought of this ? I mean this is one question that has troubled me in the past and does even now. When you act in the best interest of your country is what i think is the best definition. So the question comes up…how does Patriotism take shape in a mind? its through the person’s growth phase that it happens. Does it mean that if the person has been fed wrong information …whatever takes shape is also patriotism???DOES IT? Tell me.
Is that patriotism which is built on wrong information and falsehood? My mind tells me it is not.I dot know what you believe.
I also believe that when one cannot respect another country while standing up to protect ones own county, one’s patriotism is not earnest. Right? “My patriotism is right and my country is right and your patriotism is wrong and your country is bad and evil( I read that here)”. Tell me..is this sensible? No, right?
Why cant we…the citizens of the two countries atleast be nice to each other? Cant we stop this Country-bashing excercise that happens here?I read another post by a guy called Mad_Scientist.Man!!!If you are a scientist..you must have some amount of objectivitym,right? I know what he is talking is wrong. And I will not tell him to correct himself. But is thats the attitude..where can growth come from? i HEARD GEN. MUSHARRAF’S PROGRESSIVE SPEECH, WHERE HE SAID HE WANTS PAKISTAN TO BE A MODERN STATE.
