Mine are never planned, I just cook whatever comes to mind first. But today I want to impress Ammi :o So what are you cooking, maybe I’ll just steal your ideas, unless someone can suggest something nice :o) I have all kinda meat, daaleiN and frozen veggies. But I don’t have stuff like coconut milk
As I stepped out for work, I took qeema packet out of the freezer and placed it in a ziploc in my refrigerator. It should thaw in 10 hours.
On my return, I am chopping onions, garlic and green chillies and adding it to ground meat and shan’s chapli kabab mix. Set it aside for 20 minutes and then fry them in little bit of olive oil. Eat with onion/tomato salaad and garma garam pre-made naan.
shahreen, sapli kabab of Farid Nothiaa… rings a bell? Chapli kabab with onions and tomatos and naan is the most balanced nutritional diet recommended by the Food and Drug Administration of NWFP. It has all the ingredients of the food pyramid.
Sabah, jee daikhain naa…aisa banda kahaan mileyga jau chapliaan bhi khud hee faraaham karay. Waisay soona hay kay chapli kabab khaanay kay baad mausum kaafi afsaanvee saa hau jaata hay
Mera dil chahta hei ke mein ghar jaaon tau agay khaana tayyaar ho and mum is sweet enough to do it everyday! :guilty: But having to cook after getting home is such a botheration.
It’s not a big deal really. Everything is almost ready anyway. it’s just mixing n fixing it.
I use cooking as a tool for relaxation. TV per evening news, laptop with wireless connection by the kitchen counter, my set of knives out, stove per say halki halki kuch paknay ki awaaz aarahee ho, and the anticipation of creating something… the food…your dish… you don’t know what the final product will look like…it’s so exciting.
My dinner would be too simple....but tasty:
I would open a can of star kist's Tuna Fillet ....
Would place some oil in a fry pan...Would cut half an Onion...brown them in oil...
Then add half the can of (pre-cooked)Tuna in the pan & then would cook them till the tuna would be slightly red brown...
Then i would open a can of Red hot chilli beans & add these 'pre-cooked beans with sauce' to the Tuna in the pan...would add some water ...& cook them for like 2 mins...& then i would add 1 spoon of tomato paste or ketchup to it...& cook it again for like 2 mins....& my dish is done:)...I call it 'Hot Chiili Beans with Tuna'...They are particularly very tasty with a bit of cream or yogurt...
Well with MashaAllah a family of seven people , you either do dishes once every seven days (i assume you take turns) or you just do your own. Either way, it's not the same torture as doing your own dishes everyday.
every second or third day but they usually go in the dishwasher so its not that big a deal. Its only if the kitchen was not clean from before that its really annoying. I guess I shouldn’t complain. And nor should you washing 2 plates 1 glass and one pan a day
