Re: Dinner Party - The Men’s Side.
Ditto. Brilliant! I always wanted to know what goes on the men’s side. Very funny Ajay!
Re: Dinner Party - The Men’s Side.
:k:
The best lot are the hosts, they get to eat later when the table is prepared for just a few people and all the time to eat ![]()
Re: Dinner Party - The Men's Side.
^ the food is usually cold and you sick of the food by then after experincing the horror of the kids throwing up, auties littering the floor with bones, the old men burping sour pieces of chicken. Hosts have food as the last thing on their mind. Even the smell of food makes you wanna gargle on horse diarehha.

Re: Dinner Party - The Men's Side.
ahmadjee, I thoroughly enjoyed the thread. T'was very funny and a good read in Culture in a loooong time. It's so true lol! I've observed the uncles at dawats at my house, and it doesn't matter which professions they belong to, or what their background is, it's all the same! :-D
Re: Dinner Party - The Men’s Side.
lol. good stuff. :k:
at weddings an stuff, we have wait for volunteers to serve, an then volunteers get served after. i doubt this buffet thing ever works out right.
Re: Dinner Party - The Men's Side.
I am glad you all liked it! Some of you guys need to extend the list or at least tell us from the women's side.
Belle & Haris, I am not much of a writer, only vent when I feel like it.
Mooli, I have been a volunteer all my life & being the youngest I can't get out of it. Its good to eat the left over when you are too tired from the serving.
Re: Dinner Party - The Men's Side.
BURRRRRRPPPPP!!!!
oh man one time i went to this really big wedding and when they announced the food for the women i heard a bunch of screams and it's like someone had unleashed freaks from hell. i mean, there was 200 pound aunties rampaging towards the food table, some tripping over their duputtas.
then they started taking like two plates just so they wouldn't have to get back in line and they're all yelling at eachother "oy yeh koi tareeka hai kya?!?!" and some were even eating while they were in line so they wouldn't have to come back for more.
Yea. Kinda makes you lose your appetite.
Certainly does, i've been to 2 such functions where there was a riot for the buffets, so many ppl jostling, shouting, trying to pile stuff into 3 plates each, so much food going to waste. I walked away to as far as possible until they were done.
