hey guys,
ok so someone in our family is getting married in pakistan. And we want to have a dinner party for them. We will be inviting about 100 people. I do not want to do it in my house. Do you have any ideas?

i was thinking maybe in a restaurant, however my budget is 30,000 rupees. Do you think this budget is reasonable (i haven’t been to pakistan for a very long time so i have no idea). However i want to do it in a nice restaurant. what would be a reasonable menu?..i am open to any suggestions :smiley:

or do you have any other ideas?

I have no idea but it would b interesting to know what u could get for 300 rupees a head.

I want to say something, please make sure u invite a lot LESS than 100 people bcos in Paksitani it is common for people to bring extras with them.

You can get a buffet lunch hi-tea done at golden lotus or ziafat for 290rs per person. Dinner buffet would be around 500rs per person minimum

i searched for both of these online ..and i found out that golden lotus..is a chinese place..but what about ziafat?

and what exactly do u mean by hi-tea?/....is lunch time considered around 3 or 4pm?

well, between golden lotus and ziafat...we are interested in ziafat

so how much would the buffet be for lunch? and what are the dishes included?

and the price for dinner and dishes?

and i remember there was another restaurant called village or sumthing in gullberg...whats the price range for that?

and which one is better?

ziafat is good too. golden lotus has all chinese,mediterranean and continental menu for hitea/lunch. it is from 1-5 pm daily.

village lunch is probably around 450-500rs and dinner is 700+

ziafat is buffet too and has bar b q at dinners only.

i guess 30000 PKR is quite low if you want to invite 100 people in above average restaurant for a lunch or dinner meal. but you may find a deal you need to call and make a deal with them. village normally have buffet at fixed price per head, check with them ziafat will be bit more than village.

as for 100 you will need large palce, so try also kebabish and kebana on main boulevard gulberg.
