Do you prefer to eat dinner before going to the theater or after? And what if the show is earlier during the day rather than starting at 8PM? Keeping in mind, shows are 2+ hours.

Although its more common to do it afterwards, I think I prefer dinner before that way I'm not attracted to the junk food in the theater...and then a light dessert afterwards like yogurt or ice cream...

Dinner, snack and dessert? That's a lot of food. I think it depends on the time of the show and I'm not big on having snacks during a movie. So it would only be dinner before or after.

If the show is earlier then eat after. If it was a 8pm show, you'd probably wanna schedule yourself so you have an early dinner, and then go to the show.

Don't really have a fixed routine on that. If I'm hungry before I'll eat something before. Otherwise: Afterwards.
It also depends on what time the show is.

What kind of theater? Am I going alone, with my wife or the whole family? Its not when its starting, its when its finishing. If the end time is passed 1.5 hours of my regular dinner time, I will eat before.
