Same! So what happens if there’s a surprise gratuity charge?

I’ve never known a restaurant to not tell you about the included gratuity before hand. Usually if you have a party of anywhere from 6 or more, they will include the gratuity in the bill. Your server will tell you when he seats you or when you make reservations or even on the menu.
