i am teaching these days at a private school (even though i am not a teacher)
so today after the class a parent comes up to me and me that “initially i was thinking that you are not that great, but now my daughters are loving you”.
i was shocked to hear this cuz i was in an impression that my personality is pretty convincing
so i need a serious help that how can i convince my employer (the actual field i am in) that i am DAMN yes DAMN SERIOUS ABOUT MY WORK!
is there are possibility employers afraid of my too much excitement?

Having experienced both academic and industry environments, I can tell you that in an academic context, quite often your power of influence goes unnoticed because the other person is not open and receptive to your influence, especially students. This is quite different from how things work in a different employment environment where you have the opportunity to demonstrate your skills through your aptitude and your work, and the other party is more accessible, judicious and responsive.
