Ok here is my situation. I was diagnosed with PCOS abt 7 years back. Went on the pill to regulate my periods. Stopped taking the pill and lost weight and my periods were regular. The periods became irregular after marriage, either delayed or skip a month. But never more than a month. I did get an ultrasound done when my period was delayed and the doctor said no pregnancy and no cysts on my ovary.
I am scared to go to the doctor. My husband would really like to have kids. I am afraid that if I go to the doctor she will tell me that PCOS is back and I may be infertile. What do I do?
PCOS is treatable sadi. It CAN cause infertility if left untreated but once its treated and under control theres a great chance that everything will go just fine. You could start trying and see what happens...but wouldnt it be less stressful for you to find out first?
I am more scared of what if I have it, first it was me and I was single so didn't have to face the possibility of not being able to have kids...now its hubby too..and I am just scared if it is PCOS it will crush him...
pCOS doesnt mean that you're infertile! It CAN interfere with pregnancy but not always! It depends on how severe it is. So if you need some treatment, its just a bit of a speed bump in your plans yeah? Your hubby would understand I think, to know that you have a condition that may need some treatment before pregnancy....but first things first yeah? You may not even have it!! And if you do, it may not even require treatment! If it does, its likely to slow down your plans only by a couple of months!!
Be brave! Go find out! We will keep you in prayers!!!
PCOS does not mean infertility. I know of atleast one person who went on to concieve with PCOS by using clomid and has a healthy child, MaashaAllah. I think you should go get checked out sooner rather than later. I hope your husband is understanding. InshaAllah things will turn out fine for you
Don't delay going to the Dr, u should b able to get some good advice and treatment that will IMPROVE your chances of being pregnant, rather than decrease your chances by ignoring it.
And certainly, PCOS does NOT mean u will b infertile, i know a lady who has it and she has 2 kids!
