Dilemma...

I came across this while surfing…I believe it’s more of a ‘religious’ subject so I will post it here again…sorry…

Do you believe the parents acted in a right way?

I know exactly such one case, and the mother reacted in the same manner…In fact cursing her daughter at the time of rukhsati…

Their behaviour is wrong. When the marriage is done and declared, at that time at least the parents should send their daughter off with dua’s…

What she’s asking about is ‘Aaq’…It is the most extreme form of parental punishment, instantly severing ties with their children. The children cannot use their parents’ names as theirs, they cannot claim them as parents, no property, not even the right to come to Janaza…

About the case I know about, it didn’t come to this, but was close…

And these guys used to come to me as kids for an art project they needed done or to finish their homework…:hehe:

Oh, How time flies…

Is this even allowed in Islam???

that is honestly very sad...

a question which may deviate from the original one... i was wondering.. as we know 'the door to heaven lies below our mothers feet' and 'the key is below our fathers'

.. now in situations like this.. what happens? is it really the childs fault?

to answer ur question.. i think the parents are in the wrong..

Well, I think as a muslim you are not supposed to curse other muslims, especially not your own children.

regarding the cursing issue i would like to add of wat i know about that, i believe that prophet moahmmed (s.a.w) have said this may allah forgive me if i'm wrong.

prophet have said: whomever curses at someone they are infact cursing their own parents, so one shouldn't worry to much if for examplt some one swears at you they are infact directing that towards their own.

boy or girl, one shud always do according to his/her parents' wish....

i dont think anyone cud be as mportant as parents....
so let us all seek their happiness....

parents too shud care for their children's needs and think of their happiness....
but if they dont, atleast let us keep our duty....
