its not dil vs dimagh .. a person cant live without both.. human body is made perfectly balanced.. each part in the body is responsible for some function.. yes without pumping of blood (heart) body wouldnt be able to live..

but u know what docs do to a person that has no electric impulses in his/her's brain? declare dead :-)

:) I thought this thread was anything but Anatomical importance of these organs! it has more to do with SIGNIFICANCE in one's life and his/her decisions.

in my view Brain is the key. I read some ppl made reference to Sufism and emotions, but where Heart get those instructions or feelings from?? Your BRAIN, lets say MIND, tells you to feel all emotions and choose a path, weither good or bad. sometimes you FEEL in ur heart that certain things you do are evil and lead you to immorality, infact its your INTELLECT, which gives you those warnings, and is widely mistaken with "a deep cry from your heart".

in my life I give more importance to what my MIND says.. not to heart. snoootaaa

The word Sadr used in the Quran has got different meaning. When Allah says that He put seal on their (disbelievers) heart, it does not mean heart literally but rather understanding. It means that Allah has put seal on their understanding.

So the words of the Quran cannot be taken literally.

Just my 2 cents
