This video was being aired again and again today. It was real sweet watching it. Skinnier Junaid, shahi and co all rolling on grass and trying to do something dance like. This video ahs so many nostalgiac feelings attached to it. It is like a second national anthem for me since I heard it.
I wonder what will happen if this video is made now, with all the technical advancements made? Shoaib Mansoor directing it again. I bet he can make a real cool video out of it with a super story and star cast
^^ I think the original video captured a lot of spontaniety and energy which can't be created by all the glitzy editing and smart camera moves. It really was simple and nice although a tad bit amateurish....but then at that time the standard was to shoot song 'videos' in TV studios with the guy standing and some mundane backdrop in the background, and fancy lights popping here and there specially during the interludes. So in that respect, with it's outdoor shooting Dil Dil Pakistan was grounbreaking for its time, though now it looks a little....awkward!
^ It was aired because of that ptv telthon on victory celebrations. so they were airing it in between different bits. A lots of classics like jazba-e-junoon. By the way I like that idea of re-shooting it with the celebrities and general public bits.
i was so lame, when i was little i thought dil dil pakistan was the national anthem. but i love the song. i also enjoyed the ones that came out in the pepsi freedom album in 1997.
