Anil Kapoor hands down stole the show..amazing versatile acting and the movie is actually about him and he and ranveer get the most screen time..shefali shah was very natural. Ranveer was good, he needs to do more restrained roles like this as he often is over the top in his other movies, I didn’t like priyanka and anushkas modern girl roles but their acting was top notch (the portrayal of the modern girl in this movie is a central theme of the movie, dont know if i agree with their portrayal of the female protoganists as promiscuous, engaging in pre-maritsl sex, wearing very revealing clothes, rebellious women who focus more on careers, will ditch family and husbands for no reasons at all just bc they don’t feel it anymore and seek out other man while still being married just bc they experience a spark with the other guy who is not their husband–this is openly advocated by movie as being completely normal, didn’t like this message sending wrong message to girls), Farhan Akhtar role was really an extended cameo. Feel bad for Rahul Bose’s character as he is constantly disrespected throughout the movie although hes never unreasonable until he’s pushed to the edge in one scene in which he was provoked although the movie does try to make him out into a misogynist which he actually isnt. Songs were situational and most were above average to unmemorable. The movies story line is simple and extended over a period of 3 hours so the story depends more on the characters to move the story forward so if you don’t connect with the character for some this movie will drag but I enjoyed it. The comedic portions are very subtle, dry humor. Not everyone will like it. Not for the people who enjoy Rohit Sh*tty films.
I love Shefali Shah...a very natural actress. Rahul Bose is another talented actor, but I've read he was given the least screen time out of all of them. You're the first to express sympathy toward him, lol. It'll be interesting to see what other viewers think of his role. I've read so many online reviews of the movie and in all of them Bose is described as a chauvinist. Bose himself was happy to do the role; said he found it to be interesting and substantial :p As for the messages sent by the movie...no surprise there. Marital infidelity has been made light of and even glorified by Bollywood for years. There's nothing funny or endearing or romantic about it. Even in highly acclaimed movies like The Lunchbox, which consists of more nuanced cast and where the female protagonist is not at all modern and is a down-to-earth housewife is essentially a glorification of infidelity in the guise of female awakening. I watch the movies, but I do believe the entertainment industry has its agenda.

8.9/10
Couldn't agree more. The Akhtar family really are good at what they do. I enjoyed the movie even though i am a pirate and saw a crappy version online :P . Priyanka Chopra is so pretty, sigh. lol Anil Kapoor's acting was definitely something to admire, especially the part where he was popping pills, i enjoyed that one. I can't comment on the songs, i forwarded through all of them (not a bollywood music fan) but over all good movie.
I loved this movie. I think all of the actors did extremely well, whether a large role or small they did justice to it. The life of it was Ranveer and Anil Kapoor all the way.
I disagree with other comments that it shows throwing a marriage because you dont feel for it - that's a woman's choice and right and instead of cheating she did the right thing by divorcing.

Wow really? So it would be okay if a guy just left behind his wife randomly one day because he's not feeling it anymore and immediately got with another girl without even waiting for divorce to be finalized? That's okay?
She should have decided that before marrying the guy. Her husband didn't do her wrong, and def nothing that warranted her ending it without any sort of discussion, completely blindsided him, she ended up doing her husband wrong. Everyone has a right and a choice but that's not the point--I'm talking about whether she did right or wrong. She ruined another person's life just because she wasn't feeling it anymore, frankly it's very selfish, self centered and immature regardless of gender. And yes she did technically cheat bc she had feelings for another man and kissed another guy while still being married to her husband. She even lied to her husband about contraceptive use. If a guy did what she did he would be portrayed as a bad guy. She did someone else wrong even if she can justify it to herself. I dont know how you can condone such behavior, regardless of gender.
I have no hopes based on recent Bollywood productions.
Yes....bhot bkwas bnate hain ....thode dino se...waise Dum laga k...was good.. Dil dhadakne do types se toh connect hi ni ho pata....bhagwan hi Jane kaunsi duniya ki batein krte hain...

Yes. Really. She didnt get with anyone before divorcing in the movie - if you're talking about the kiss, that was wrong but it wasnt "getting" with someone. People make mistakes - people are young, selfish and sometimes not thinking with a clear head and fall into pressure from parents.
If people can fall in love, people can also fall out of love, thats not selfish! feelings can change.
I dont know how you can be so judgmental and forget that humans are not God.
Maybe I feel this way because I've gone through a divorce because it wasnt the right person and we parted ways after being married for a very brief time. Either way, everyone is entitled to their opinion, I just know that it's really easy to judge without being in that position.
oh and about the birth control issue - men lie about impotency ALL the time - it's not justification for her mistakes in the movie but it's better than having a child and then getting divorced.
