Anybody have any experiences with the digital quran?
The price (~200 CDN) isnt a big deal although if anybody could point me to a cheaper site that would be nice too.

I ended up buying it. It’s a great product. However, since I was very much used to Sony NetMD, I ended up switching back to it. I passed it on to my sister and she absolutely loves it and has learned a lot from it, alhamdulillah.

I bought one couple of years ago and its good. I wish there is search facility available.

I'm assuming its audio (as it comes with the headphone) :)
If someone just jeeds an english translation of the Quraan (ebook) please let me know. Its dua-ware!!

Tofi, it has audio as well as text. You can either set it to view English translation for every verse that you listen to, or you can set it to view Arabic Quranic script.

i bought the digital quraan about a year ago and i gotta say it was an excellent investment. its great for when your travellin. dont need newspapers or magz, jus pop in the headphones and listen to the quraan with english translation on the screen.
nowadays they come with many many extra functions. you can now choose the reciters or qaris. i think you got a choice between shaikh sudais, shaikh hudaifi and shaikh shuraim. some of them come with both english and french translation built in one. you also got backlight for it and now you can adjust the speed of the recitation from Normal to fast. you can use batteries or have it mains operated. if you dont wanna use your headphones, you just take em out and it will recite the quraan loudly so quite a few people can hear it, volume goes pretty loud.
the only negative thing is the fact that it doesnt have a search facility. too bad. even doe you can skip between the verses you cant search for specific text. so say your searching for something in surah bakarah, its gonna take you ages coz the surah is so long. Dat is the only drawback..apart from that its excellent.
they pretty cheap in the UK now, you can pik em up for bout £70-80 and youll get a discount if you buy a bulk. in saudi arabia they even cheaper!
chek out the digital tasbih aswell...lolll that not really in much demand lol

I ana buy it but not through internet and they definatelly don't have any digital Quran over here in New Zealand or even Ausy. Can some one please tell me where to buy it from?
