Digital Photo Frame

Has anyone purchased one? Pros and Cons on different models. I’m just totally confused with all the models out there. I guess I need to do a lot of research.

Re: Digital Photo Frame

one from Kodak. it plays videos and and has the slideshow feature. not too bad. i didn't know digi photoframes required any research =/

Re: Digital Photo Frame

Well, they do. I was getting a good deal on a 7" Axion, but then found that the picture quality is not as great, too much light bleeding from the back lighting. Then looked at some others but the aspect ration was 16:9 and mostly all pics are 4:3 so it chops off the picture. Plus there are other options like remote controls and the kind of cards it takes and whether it has wifi/bluetooth connectivity (one of them can actually import/export pics from Flikr). Yada yada.

I've kinda decided on the Smartparts 8" model. But Its a bit too pricey - $165+. So still looking. I want something under $125.

Re: Digital Photo Frame

I ended up getting the Viewsonic 8" DPF. It came in yesterday and it works just as promised. With the included remote control its pretty straightforward to navigate the pictures and music. Too bad it was purchased as a gift for someone else. Now I have to order one for myself too.
