Digital Assets

How do you backup digital assets specially image(jpeg) files?

Re: Digital Assets

I use back up external drives, thumb drives and dropbox for my backups.

Re: Digital Assets

What is storage limit on dropbox?

Re: Digital Assets

There are a lot of different ways to get free storage. I currently have about 56 GB in free storage. Here is how I got it.

Samsung + Dropbox Samsung promotion (expires 8/14/2015) 4 months ago 48 GB

Camera Uploads Bonuses for using Camera Uploads 1 year ago 3 GB

Simple Tasks Posting <3 to Twitter 1 year ago 125 MB

Simple Tasks Why you love Dropbox 1 year ago 125 MB

Simple Tasks Follow @Dropbox on Twitter 1 year ago 125 MB

Getting Started Completed! 1 year ago 250 MB

Simple Tasks Linking with Twitter 1 year ago 125 MB

Simple Tasks Linking with Facebook 1 year ago 125 MB

Re: Digital Assets

I hardly backup pictures, but I do use Git to backup my code.

Re: Digital Assets

External drives

Re: Digital Assets

We used git in my previous job. Now we use subversion.

Re: Digital Assets

But all these are for one year riight, unlike the permanent increases for uploading a file or inviting friends in dropbox? I think that this is a clever way of getting more paid customers since if you have a full dropbox account, a lot of people would just pay to play instead of moving everything elsewhere.

Re: Digital Assets

Mostly Skydrive. I'm one of the older members so I get 25 GB for two accounts.
Dropbox.
Sometimes Google Drive.
Amazon Cloud Drive for my family pictures.

^how is amazon

Re: Digital Assets

I back up on the web server :D

Re: Digital Assets

I think so but you will(?) have to pay $30 after a year and the storage for non documents is pretty low I think.
