DigiCam/Scanner Shopping

Recently my digital camera battery door broke and the repair of digital camera is $169.99 CAD flat rate. Even though its in proper working condition just that the battery door has come loose. Its a HP 315 Photosmart.

I’m looking for a

2.1 MP
2.5x Zoom
LCD

range from $150-$200 CAD.

And i’m gonna buy it asap within a week or less, so i need advice on which one to buy.

Size
Battery intake
accessory
flash
card
AC adapter that can be transformed into DC voltage for car usage?
and other features have to be taken into consideration.

I was recommended by the HP guys to look out for these cameras in the range I’m willing to spend:

Business Depot New Camera Sale
hp 120
hp 320
hp 318

Also I’ve been told that this scanner should suffice, since I’m only looking to scan documents.
Scanner
hp 2200-2300 scanner (approx $69.00 CAD)

Any help would be appreciated. Please post specifics as well if you are willing to contribute : )

p.s. would an all in one device be better fax/printer/scanner/photocopier?

For digital camera in your price-range, we had a bit of discussion a few days ago. Check it out by clicking here

For scanner et al, it depends on your price range and needs. An all-in-one device will cost extra. They are good if you plan to receive faxes at home (home office type). For simple photocopying, a scanner combined with your printer (I am assuming u have a printer) will suffice. Canon makes some good quality, low priced scanners. Unless you have some very specific requirements on scanner, u should just head into an electronics store and walk the aisle and select the one which fits your budget. The more you spend, the higher the pixels. Its really not such a big deal anyway. Even a CAD $69 one will probably do for home use.

Re: DigiCam/Scanner Shopping

for ur cam the HP PHOTOSMART 120 DIGITAL CAMERA is just 149. but simply said ...it sucks. it has 2x digital zoom...which is terrible.if u get a new cam dont get a cam with digital zoom only. get a cam with optical.
But, if u want to buy it go ahead. Its ur money.

the 320 isnt any better. it just has a 4x digital zoom. big whoop.

if i was to spend my money. i wouldnt buy them, unless it was for someone else.

i recently saw a HP cam in a future shop advert..it was something like : 3.3 MP, 3x ZOOM, 1.5 LCD, for 329CDN. a very good price.
lemme search through my trash and try to find it.

as for the printer/scanner/fax combo, if u dont print many high qual prints its a great idea.

found the cam :
HP 715 3.3MP Digital Camera

so I decided to buy a CanoScan LIDE 20 which is pretty decent and very slim. $99.00 you can't go wrong : )
As for the camera that'll have to wait cuz $$$ matters.
