ah i have been trying to become an expert in baking but it seems there is a lot that i need to learn
the problem is with my gas oven
mere oven ki heat buhat ziadha hai
180 degree centigrade p tau jal hi jata hai cake tau may 150 p rekh k bake kerti hun
ager may oven ko pre heat kerun 180 per aur cake rekhne ke baad temperature low ker dun tau kia yeh sahi rahega?

if you know your oven overheats, then you're doing the right thing by baking at a lower temp and watching it as the bake time approaches. my oven is exactly the same and once you get to know its quirks, it works fine. hang in there and keep practicing! as for pre-heating, i'd pre-heat it at the lower temperature from the get-go. if you set it too high, it takes the oven some time to cool down and whatever you have in there is going to bake at the higher temperature during that while which is likely what is causing your problems.
ok i jusr purchased a new oven too... m excited to use it soon.. guys how long is one supposed to preheat the oven at say x temperature?
