I have never heard the word chanba for slap.

ChiRyan da chamba = flock of sparrows.

ek aur bhi hai 'Alif Allah, Chanbay di booti'... Here Chanba means Chanbeli

i thought chamba is like chabootara/small village as in Chamba in Himachal Pradesh, India

I too have rather recently started hearing it from people around me. One of my younger sub-ordinates was telling a story the other day, k kesay ek larka un k muhallay main mashkook andaz main ghomta rehta tha, aur jab party k larkon nay pakar kar chanba plate karai to pata chala k kisi bachi k chakkar main aata tha..
