Re: Different words for death

Haan lagta hai keh ye shauq kuch bidaisi guppies main kuch ziyaada paaya jaata hai aur in vogue hai.
Zaroor vahaan ki havaa aur paani ka asar hai keh fohosh baat bhi fohosh nahin lagti aur ghair mardon aur aurton kai darmiyaan aisi baaton main jhijhak mehsoos nahi hoti aur kuch ma’yoob nahi lagta. Balkay fakhria apni wit aur smarts kaa izhaar kiya jaata hai. Aur jo aisi baaton sai tang ho, ussay ullu ka ***** samjha jaa hai. :emmy:

Re: Different words for death

My theory is that the longer someone has lived in the West, the more de-sensitized (immune) they get to this thing.
They sort of become teeter-baTair. One second you put on one hat and the next second the other.

You may know inside that you are engaging in indecent conversation but you say, what the heck, who cares, everybody is doing it, might as well have some fun.
However this becomes a slippery slope very quickly.
There are people who sometimes wear their religion on their sleeve, talking about praying and punctuating their speech with
insha'Allah and masha'Allah and then utter lm*ao a few minutes later without a second thought. And this is a very mild example.

Very confused lot, I think. And the FB and online forums culture have magnified this problem a whole lot.
Oh well. Just my pet-peeve.

Re: Different words for death

wichoRa kar jana… not a typical Urdu word, but people who know and speak languages like Punjabi, Saraiki and Sindhi can relate to this term. I just love this Shah Hussain’ Kaafi by Hamid Bela.

HAMAD ALI BELA-MAYE NI MAIN KINO AAKHAN COMPLEAT KAFI
